Engineering perspective

Greg Small Interview

Hear from Greg Small, the fall protection engineering advisor behind the Metro Safety Rail system.

Our mission

To help concrete construction teams work safely at height with engineered fall protection that keeps people protected and projects moving.

01

Engineered Around The Slab

Cast-in inserts establish the rail line, then the above-slab rental components are installed, checked, removed, and redeployed as the structure advances.

02

Built For Multiple Uses

The same system supports guard rail, travel restraint, and fall arrest planning. End and corner posts are designed to bend during a fall event, reducing cable forces below 6 kN.

03

Support Beyond The Hardware

MSR helps with project review, safety documentation, training, quality checks, custom engineering, and rescue planning when the job requires it.

Visual planning

Clear drawings make the system easier to understand.

Rooftop visualizations and slab layout images help project teams understand where the product sits, how it avoids the slab edge, and why it is different from temporary edge-only guardrail.
